EuroFM Best Industry Initiative Award 2026-2027
EuroFM is thrilled to announce the Call for the Best Facilities Management Industry Initiative – an award designed to recognize outstanding contributions that are driving positive change in the FM sector. We’re looking for initiatives that drive progress within and outside of our industry but also contribute meaningfully to the social and environmental dimensions of sustainability.
Facilities Management plays a critical role in shaping healthier, more inclusive, and resilient environments where people live, work, and interact. As the industry evolves, it is essential to spotlight those initiatives that embrace innovation while addressing the real needs of people, organizations, and communities.
We invite EuroFM member and non-member organizations, institutions, and individuals to submit their most impactful initiatives—whether it’s a socially-conscious workplace design, an employee-centered service innovation, a collaborative community project, or a sustainability program with strong social outcomes. We want to hear from you!
We will select the Best EuroFM Industry Initiative based on the following criteria:
- Innovation:
We celebrate initiatives that challenge conventional approaches—introducing fresh ideas, tools, or processes that enhance the experiences of users, improve organizational effectiveness, or increase the social value of FM.
- Impact:
Your initiative should demonstrate measurable benefits—whether improving employee well-being, promoting diversity and inclusion, creating accessible environments, or strengthening connections with local communities.
- Sustainability:
We emphasize a holistic view of sustainability that includes social responsibility, long-term value creation, and ethical practices within the FM domain.
- Collaboration:
We value efforts that build bridges—bringing together diverse stakeholders, disciplines, or sectors to co-create solutions and drive shared progress.
Winning initiatives will be showcased at the EuroFM Conference and featured on our digital platforms, offering visibility across the international FM community. This is a unique opportunity to share your story, gain recognition, and inspire others to embrace a socially sustainable approach to facilities management.
Submissions should be professional in nature and contribute to the broader development of FM as a knowledge-driven field. Commercial or sales-driven presentations will not be accepted.
Nothing in the initiative shall disparage or denigrate any person or group on the basis of race, sex, religion, age, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, or marital status; shall disparage or defame the name, goods, services or products of others; or shall create a hostile, offensive or intimidating environment.
EuroFM Board together with invited FM professionals will evaluate each initiative based on its merits and alignment with the criteria outlined above. The selected initiatives might have an interview with the selection committee.
Deadline for submissions:
The deadline for submitting applications is 1st December2026, 12.00 noon (CET time).
Award Ceremony:
EuroFM Conference 2027 in Kufstein, Austria, during the Gala Dinner on 18 February 2027.

Education is at the heart of a resilient and socially sustainable FM future. As FM becomes more interdisciplinary and value-driven, the role of educators in shaping ethical, inclusive, and forward-thinking professionals is more critical than ever. This award recognizes those who inspire not only through teaching excellence, but also by embedding social, environmental, and community-oriented values into their educational practice.
We welcome nominations and self-submissions from individuals in higher education, vocational training, and professional development who have significantly contributed to the advancement of FM education—within or beyond the classroom.
We are looking for educators who:
- Innovate
Develop and deliver fresh, interdisciplinary, or experiential learning approaches that reflect real-world FM challenges and opportunities. This might include new curricula, digital tools, partnerships with industry, or unique student engagement strategies.

Demonstrate clear outcomes—whether through student success, research integration into teaching, influence on professional practice, or contributions to educational policy and program development in FM.
- Champion sustainability
Embrace and promote a broad understanding of sustainability, ethics, equity, inclusion, and the well-being of people and communities affected by the built environment.
- Foster collaboration
Actively build bridges between academia, industry, and society—engaging with diverse stakeholders to co-create relevant, real-world educational experiences and shape the future FM workforce.
The selected educator will be recognized on the EuroFM Conference stage, featured across our digital platforms, and invited to share their educational journey and impact with our international community.
The Best Teacher will be selected by a jury composed of EuroFM Board members and invited external members. The award will be rewarded at EuroFM Conference 2027 in Kufstein, Austria, during the Gala Dinner on 18 February 2027. Please submit the application with the motivation to vitalija@eurofm.org.
