More about Vitalija
Vitalija is an Assistant Professor at Delft University of Technology, working within the Department of Management in the Built Environment. Her research focuses on the governance, use, productivity, and transformation of buildings, with particular interest in how business logic influences the way buildings are used.
At EuroFM, Vitalija represents the research perspective and helps strengthen facility management research across Europe. Through initiatives such as the EuroFM Research Symposium, research meetups, publications, and collaborations between academics, universities, and industry, she contributes to advancing FM as a scientifically grounded, relevant, and forward-looking discipline.

Riikka Kyrö is Full Professor of Construction Economics and Business Model Transformation at the Department of Civil Engineering at LUT University, Finland. Prof. Kyrö holds a DSc. (Tech) in Real Estate Business and a MSc. in Real Estate Economics. Her current research focuses on circularity and novel business models in the real estate and construction sector.
Riikka is jointly responsible for the Research pillar of EuroFM. Her main tasks include co-chairing the Scientific Committee and co-editing the proceedings of the annual of the Research Symposium. The EuroFM Conference and Research Symposium is always one of her favorite events of the year!

Meet Pleun van Deurssen MSc CIWFM: an international facility management professional, lecturer, and connector with a passion for where the profession is headed next. After starting her career in the UK, she developed into an experienced FM professional, receiving awards including IWFM Newcomer of the Year 2016 and recognition as a Top 50 Workplace Leader in 2025.
Today, Pleun lectures at Breda University of Applied Sciences and serves as Board Member Education at EuroFM. Known for her energy and curiosity, she is passionate about making FM more visible, strategic, people-focused, and attractive to the next generation.
