From 12 to 16 October 2026, around 180 Facility Management students from different countries and universities gathered in Heerlen, the Netherlands, for the EuroFM International Autumn School 2026. Organised by Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, the event once again provided an opportunity for students to collaborate internationally, exchange knowledge and develop innovative solutions to real-world Facility Management challenges.
A week of international collaboration
The EuroFM International Autumn School brings together students from various educational and cultural backgrounds for an intensive week of learning, teamwork and networking.
Working in international teams, participants were challenged to combine their knowledge, creativity and different perspectives to develop practical and innovative ideas. Beyond the academic experience, the programme encouraged students to strengthen their communication skills, build confidence and experience what it means to collaborate across borders.

Showcasing creativity and innovation
One of the highlights of the week was the final project marketplace, where students presented the results of their work to fellow participants, lecturers and guests.
The marketplace offered an opportunity to explore the different concepts, exchange feedback and celebrate the creativity and dedication of the participating teams.
The week concluded with an award ceremony recognising the students’ achievements. Congratulations to Group 22, the winning team of the EuroFM International Autumn School 2026!
As part of their prize, the winning students received tickets to the EuroFM Conference 2027 in Kufstein, Austria, along with €1,500 in financial support for travel and accommodation. We look forward to welcoming them to the international EuroFM community again in February!

Supporting the next generation of FM professionals
EuroFM Board Member Marlinda Dressen attended the event on behalf of EuroFM, witnessing the students’ final presentations and the conclusion of an inspiring international week.
