Best paper award
In recognition of academic writing for FM in research and practice yearly the EuroFM Research Network Group presents the Best Paper Award. This year’s winner is the paper titled ‘The Influence of Personal- and Business Centre Characteristics on Knowledge Sharing Types in Business Centres’. Authors of the paper are: Minou Weijs-Perrée, Rianne Appel-Meulenbroek, Theo Arentze and Georges Romme. Susanne Balslev Nielsen as the recently departed RNG board member announced the winning paper at the EFMC 2017.
European Researcher of the Year
The other research award goes to the European Researcher of the Year. The new RNG EuroFM board member Matthew Tucker presented the awarding. Out of the three finalists it was decided on by the jury that the winner of the award 2017 is Simon Ashworth of ZHAW on BIM and FM.
Again this year’s FM research awards at the EFMC showed a respectable tribute to FM Research!
Award on FM innovation
For the first time this year the Partners for FM innovation competition was launched. The Award ceremonies showed the winner at EFMC 2017 in Madrid. The winners of this prestigious award decided on by the jury are the partners: Ministry of Justice UK and Matrix Booking! A fantastic achievement indeed!
European Students Competition
During the exciting student competition at the EFMC 2017 Madrid the ten finalist students came to the conference to show their videos, to present themselves and to pitch their idea to the EFMC audience. Olga van Diermen -the EuroFM ENG chair- together with Steve Lockwood from IFMA Foundation and Raoul Eggen from TOPdesk as the sponsoring parties presented the finalists. The winner of the ESC Award is Claudia Vermeulen. She is an NHTV student from the Netherlands. Rosanna Meeder won the public prize.
