With many Facility Management (FM) executives from all over Europe and beyond attended this years Business Conference, the Research Symposium, and the exhibition at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC). With the focus of “People, Performance, Partnership” at the two parallel business conference tracks and the two research and education tracks made it an insightful and inspiring conference indeed.
On 1 June 2015, the conference started off with study tours to BBC Scotland, new South Glasgow University Hospital, and Burrell Collection museum. In addition organised by BIFM, the first EFMC Golf Tournament took place on that day at the Carrick Golf Club – Scotland's newest course. In the evening, the EFMC welcome reception at the City Chambers of Glasgow will feature a ceilidh – a traditional Scottish dancing which is being supported by IFMA Foundation.
During 2 and 3 June 2015, the four parallel Conference and Symposium tracks were various discussion rounds on procurement in the public sector and women in FM, interactive workshops on solutions to the challenges of aging workforce and finding talent and knowledge transfer in the FM profession, as well as thematic sessions on FM in airports and FM in healthcare.
In the evening 2 June 2015, the extravagant Gala Dinner and the EuroFM Awards ceremony was held at the Hunter Halls of the University of Glasgow. The Platinum Sponsor of EFMC 2015 is ISS, and the Gold Sponsors are Cofely GDF Suez and Johnson Controls. The event is also being supported by Saint-Gobain Ecophon, Manhattan Software, Bilfinger HSG Facility Management, VINCI Facilities and Macro. Companies like Archibus, Condeco, MCS, Syskoplan Reply FM, ans TOPdesk will present their particular services for the FM industry in the trade exhibition.
