EuroFM Network is launching its online “Stay Connected Sessions”

May 18, 2020

The Board of the EuroFM Network is proud to announce its first online “Stay Connected Sessions”. The sessions are scheduled to take place on 3, 4, 18 and 25 June, and will kick off on the dates originally reserved for the annual European Facility Management International Conference (EFMIC) in Barcelona, which has now been rescheduled to 28-30 October due to the Covid-19 crisis.

The association’s President Goran Milanov explains that apart from the postponement of the association’s annual conference, there are multiple reasons to introduce these  “Stay Connected Sessions”. “Since its official establishment, our association has brought together European professionals in facility management from different areas of expertise. Now, about to celebrate our 30th anniversary, the EuroFM Network has become a recognized platform for researchers, educators and practitioners in facility management.

“The past 12 months, our association has been undergoing some changes. We have defined our strategic priorities for the coming years, appointed a new secretariat in The Hague, and have just launched our new website and corresponding refreshed identity. It is time to reconnect with the FM community and now that in person meetings are on hold for an indefinite period, we have decided to host these  “Stay Connected Sessions”, also because we believe that online learning and interaction are here to stay.

Taking association events online offers our organization a convenient way to stay connected with our diverse professional community throughout the year. The  “Stay Connected Sessions” in June are an important first step and will give members and prospective members of the network a flavor of what our association has to offer in terms of knowledge exchange, learning and best practice development.”

The online  “Stay Connected Sessions” are the Research Symposium (3 and 4 June), the Students’ Festival (18 June) and the FM Online Business Summit (25 June).
